Tennessee’s first Ronald McDonald House opened in Knoxville on March 8, 1985. Since opening our doors, we have provided a home for over 57,000 people. Our families have come from 41 states, 10 foreign countries, and virtually every medical facility that treats pediatric patients.

The Ronald McDonald House of Knoxville provides a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. The House provides a comfortable, supportive, temporary residence near the medical facility where family members can sleep, eat, relax and find support from other families in similar situations.

Vision Statement

A commitment by caring people to provide an affordable “home-away-from home” and related support services that offer compassion and hospitality and an atmosphere conducive to fostering mutual support for families having ill and injured children being treated in area hospitals.
